Shawn L. Birken

Shawn L. Birken is the founder of the Law Offices of Shawn L. Birken, P.A. and practices in the areas of Appellate Practice, Labor and Employment, Intellectual Property, and Commercial Litigation. His practice concentrates in the areas of Labor & Employment Law and Intellectual Property. Mr. Birken has successfully obtained relief for plaintiffs and defendants in Civil Rights and Employment Practices cases, as well as Intellectual Property cases, in the United States District Courts, District Court of Appeals, and in the Florida Circuit and County Courts.
After graduating from law school in 1999, Mr. Birken held a Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable United States District Court Judge William P. Dimitrouleas until August of 2001. During his career Mr. Birken has engaged in employment and civil rights litigation, protection of intellectual property rights and general civil litigation. Mr. Birken was the chair of the intellectual property division at his previous firm from 2005 through 2007.
